Data Analyst

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• You will be working as Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Analyst on leading enterprise-level projects in cloud in the Banking and Financial Services industries.

• Your responsibilities will include business analysis, data analysis, data modeling, data mining, data mappings and solution design.

• The job will offer you opportunities to participate in international cloud projects in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying the underlying attributes required to calculate the KPIs from the sample files provided

• Co-ordinating with Functional Team to understand the functional requirements for each Use cases

• Creating Database objects to load the data in Amazon Redshift or Azure Synapse Analytics

• Identifying the columns, tables, join conditions, and transformation logic for the required KPIs and creating ETL Mapping to load data from S3 Bucket to Amazon Redshift or from ADLS to Azure Synapse Analytics

• Working with BI Team to finalize and Data Model required for Dashboard and create the underlying views for them

• Attending the Sprint Calls, creating and updating the Jira Tickets, coordinating with Team seating across different parts of globe

• Reporting the blockers, progress status and analysis updates to Team

Language skills

• English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

• SQL - Advanced

• Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena - Skillful

• or Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks - Skillful

For your work you will need:

• Hands-on experience in business and data analysis and SQL – real practical knowledge and experience ideally from the Banking and Financial Services industry

• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena or Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks

• Banking domain is an asset

• Experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, PowerBI) is highly appreciated

• Working experience with metadata tools (PowerDesigner, BI Architect, ...) is an asset

• Data modelling expeirences appreciated, but not mandatory

• Experience with delivering projects within an agile environment

• Analytical thinking, well organized, consulting spirit, willingness to learn

• Very good English language skills
