            As a VMware system engineer at our client:

            • Scripting and development are at the forefront of your work. You design the virtual infrastructures of the Materna Group on the basis of VMware and determine what the resources provided look like, so you can let your creativity run free.

            • You relieve the system administration with innovative service management processes and automation solutions with the help of modern open-source tools.

            • You evaluate new virtualization and cloud technologies (containers, IaaS / CSPs).

            • You support and advise the specialist departments on VI-relevant topics and questions and support the IT management in budget and capacity planning.

            Company teamRequirements

            You bring this with you:


            • A successfully completed training in computer science or a comparable qualification

            • Good Linux knowledge, scripting (especially Python and PowerShell) and DevOps automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins

            • Knowledge of the VMware virtualization platform (vSphere, vCenter)

            • Experience in modern container platforms and their management (Kubernetes, OpenShift) is an advantage

            • Conceptual skills combined with a targeted and solution-oriented way of working and a pronounced ability to communicate and work in a team

            • Very good written and spoken German and English
